Retail Services Development Services

Retail Services

One of our core activities has always been retail system implementation and support. From January 2016 and onwards there will be some important changes to our retail services. The biggest change: we are no longer taking on any new customers at this time. For our existing customers there will be some important changes as well: please have a look below for a summary detailing the current status.

Licensing

Inspyr Media will continue to provide licenses to existing customers for all retail related products. This includes upgrades and new licenses for LightSpeed products as Inspyr Media will retain its LightSpeed reseller status.

Renewals

Customers can still purchase their LightSpeed renewals directly through Inspyr Media and we will continue to notify our clients of upcoming renewal dates and important maintenance releases for LightSpeed products.

E-commerce

LightSpeed e-Commerce customers will receive continued hosting for their web stores hosted with LightSpeed POS or Inspyr Media. All functionality and services will remain unchanged and all plugins will remain available.

Cloud Backups

The Inspyr SafetyNET cloud backup for LightSpeed will remain available with lower pricing for 2016: €75 per server per year. Users remain solely responsible for monitoring the status of their backups through the software.

Support

Remote support by phone, email, ticket and screen sharing for retail products requires a maintenance plan and goes directly through LightSpeed Support (more info). Low-priority support from Inspyr Media will remain available through email for existing customers.

Emergencies

In the event of an emergency such as hardware defects or theft and other scenario’s in which the retail system no longer functions, Inspyr Media will continue to offer on-premise emergency support to existing customers at regular hourly rates.

Training

Training materials from Inspyr Media and LightSpeed POS will remain available to all users and existing customers can request on-premise training sessions for larger groups on Saturdays and Sundays. More info: manual, videos, releases.

Extensions

All extensions and plugins for LightSpeed including the accounting connector, payment plugins, sell-through reporting and advanced reporting will remain available to existing customers. Full compatibility with future releases is not guaranteed.

Development Services

Inspyr Media has been doing web design, development and hosting since the early days. From January 2016 and onwards we will stop taking on new customers but will continue to work on projects with selected content partners. Existing customers will find that most of our services will remain unchanged. Please have a look at the overview below.

Development

Inspyr Media will continue to offer web development services to existing customers and selected content partners. This includes adding new functionality and extending previously developed projects as well as new website and e-Commerce platforms.

Hosting

All services for websites, apps and e-Commerce platforms as well as domain management will remain available to existing customers and selected content partners. This includes setting up new domains, managed hosting plans and content delivery.

Licensing

In order to keep websites safe and up-to-date, Inspyr Media will continue provisioning and billing licenses for all web platforms and plugins that are currently in use by existing customers on all current and new websites, apps and e-Commerce platforms.

Maintenance

Inspyr Media will continue to actively monitor and implement security protocols, patches and other important software updates in order to keep websites, apps and e-Commerce environments safe. This includes both licensed and free-to-use plugins.
